On February 7, 2015, Patis Tesoro gave a talk on Sustainable Fashion Design at the 9th Global Business Conference at De La Salle University in Manila.
The process of making pinya fabric projected silently in the background as Patis began by saying that truth be told on that Saturday morning, she should be gardening at PatisTito Garden Café in San Pablo, Laguna! She explained however that she wanted to seize the opportunity to speak to young minds on the importance of passion in entrepreneurship and commitment to heritage conservation.
Patis candidly gave her life story peppered with tongue-in-cheek witticism which made many a young lass in the audience giggle and blush. The narrative was told in remarkable detail likened to the intricate patterns seen on her designs for her upcoming fashion show for Rustan's at the Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza on 17 February 2015.
